Tellus, a Mountain View, California-based financial technology company, has announced a partnership with Central Bank of Kansas City to offer FDIC-insured deposit accounts that combine consumer-facing technology with community-focused banking, the companies said.
Central Bank of Kansas City holds the deposits and carries certification as a Community Development Financial Institution, a federal designation awarded to lenders that prioritize serving low-income and underserved communities. The institution has operated under that mission for decades, positioning itself as both financially sound and community-oriented.
