Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for real-time clearing, giving institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf instant settlement access at any hour.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has forged a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to bring continuous settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset markets in Asia and the Gulf region. The integration centers on SGB Net, the bank's real-time clearing network, which eliminates the delays that have historically constrained institutional trading in digital assets.
Under the arrangement, institutional clients served by both firms will be able to settle transactions at any hour, removing the dependence on traditional banking windows that typically pause settlement overnight and on weekends. The move addresses a persistent friction point for large-scale participants who require certainty of funds across time zones that span two of the world's fastest-growing digital asset markets.

Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime, Payward's institutional brokerage offering, as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That step is expected to deepen the pool of assets available to SGB's client base and further embed Kraken Prime within the institutional infrastructure of the region.
The partnership reflects a broader industry push to align digital asset market structure more closely with the always-on nature of blockchain settlement. By anchoring real-time clearing to a regulated banking entity, both firms are positioning themselves to meet the operational and compliance expectations of institutional counterparties that require bank-grade infrastructure alongside crypto-native speed.
